Wow! Sorry I haven't updated in a LONG time!!! The girls and I went down to SA for spring break and had a fabulous time! The girls loved the Riverwalk and Sea World, but didn't love looking at a bunch of houses. We have narrowed down the areas of interest- it's a start. And while we found some houses that we like, in neighborhoods that are beautiful they weren't on the best lots that would be desirable. Not terrible, but not ideal. With spring coming around and summer moves sure to come forward, we are confident the right house for us will present itself in perfect timing.
Quite possibly the most exciting thing that happened while down there is that we received an offer on the house in IL!!! It was a long back and forth process of countering each other and negotiations, but finally they agreed to a counter offer and we are on our way, moving forward. Inspection should be early next week sometime. It does make me a little nervous as our house is about 25 years old and well, with age comes issues. Hopefully we will be able to resolve what needs to be done. Our buyer is a strong buyer, has the 20% to put down, no contingency and motivated. Pretty much a gem!!! So we will do what needs to be done to hold onto this one and continue to proceed. God willing everything goes as planned, we will close May 31st which allows Kay to finish the school year with her friends. Ideally, I would have liked her to have some time in school in TX before summer so that she could have met some friends and whatnot, but all-in-all this isn't a bad alternative for her either.
